The Easiest Way to Cook Bacon

My family loves it when I make a meal that includes bacon. In fact, anytime I cook it I find myself swatting hands away from the plate sitting on the counter so that it doesn’t get eaten before I actually serve it.

I do have to confess though, that cooking bacon isn’t one of my favorite tasks in the kitchen. However, I finally found a great way to get crispy bacon without all the hassle.

Trial and Error

Now, I’ve tried several different ways of cooking bacon over the years. I realized right away that I didn’t like standing over a pan to fry it. Then, I tried out one of those little flat top grittles, ugh, such a hassle.

I’ve even tried cooking it on a layer of aluminum foil on the grill thinking it was a great way to avoid the bacon smell in my house. Let’s just say bacon grease and grills don’t mix well.

Cooking Bacon in the Oven

My favorite way to cook bacon is in the oven. The way I have done it is to lay the bacon flat on a foil lined cookie pan. However, the one thing I didn’t like was that the bacon was left swimming in it’s own grease.

Luckily, the way to solve that little problem is by cooking your bacon in the oven on a bacon pan. A bacon pan, you say? Yes, a bacon pan!

Check the price

It’s a pan with a rack that is designed to cook bacon in the oven and also allow all the grease to drip to the bottom so your bacon comes out nice and crisp every time.

The pan can hold approximately 1 1/2-12 ounce packages of bacon so it can cook a good amount at one time.

How to Cook Your Bacon

I cook my bacon at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or to the crispness of our liking. The time may vary depending on the thickness of your bacon.

So your bacon goes in like this…

And comes out like this….yum!
